Absolutely wonderful series of posts here. Accountability, honesty, and engaging with one another in good faith are essential to building strong communities. Be compassionate, courageous, and give grace.
The way people invoke ethics that preach forgiveness and de-escalation and anti carcerality/anti punishment ideology out of context of the actually oppressive authoritarian systems of harm they were developed to counter, in service to powerful figures using privilege to do harm, is a real problem.
