White Sails on Dark Waters: Even though I hail originally from the Midwest where schooners and large ships are rare (read: never) sights, I've learned to love to watch their geometric shapes glide peacefully across the water.

Islands? in the Mist: Are you looking from a plane, headed toward "Fantasy Island" (TV reference for GenX) or is it an illusion formed by steam rolling off the Grand Prismatic at Yellowstone?

Seattle Skyline: I'm sure I'm the ONLY person to take a shot like this 😉. I love ferry rides to and from the myriad islands in the Puget Sound. Taken a few years ago, I loved the way the Space Needle towered above the rest of the neighboring buildings, piercing the sky like.... well, a needle.

A lovely May morning in the Palouse. Golden light pours over the rolling hills while a solitary tree stands in witness.

"Keeper of the Breeze". It was an idyllic afternoon. I was driving through the rolling hills of the Palouse and spied this classic Aeromotor windmill patiently waiting for the next wisp of wind.

FYI: The Aermotor windmill company has been making windmills since 1888 and still makes them in the US.

Here's an image taken in the Palouse, in Washington State. I loved how the stormy morning was giving way to a more hopeful, sunny day -- evidenced by this tree catching one of the few rays of sun managing to break through the clouds.
