Let's talk about our diminished newsroom. Amid an exodus of talented newsroom staff for greener pastures, Forbes hired only 4 full-time #employees in all of 2024. During the same year, Forbes hired 49 (!!) temps.

At the bargaining table, @forbes.com management has resisted any of our common-sense proposals that would ensure full-time staff cover the news our readers deserve.

2️⃣takeaways: About 40% of the temps hired by Forbes were part-time; and @forbes.com hired 49 temps in 2024 but only 4 full-time employees 😕, down 90% from the estimated 41 full-time employees hired in 2023.

We crunched the data provided to us by @forbes.com management - and found that management has increasingly shifted to using short-term, part-time, temporary employees instead of replacing those who leave with full-timers.
