My life is more than being trans. I've been a server, line cook, farm hand, nanny, Lyft driver, teacher, receptionist, job coach, housing navigator, campaign manager, field director, Political Director, Rabbi, and Human Rights Commissioner.

I'm running because I want every trans person to know they matter, they are valued, and there are more people who love us than they even realize. I am tired of trans people dying of despair. Or addiction. Or houselessness. Or lack of healthcare. Or because they couldn't afford rent.

I'm running because we aren't abstract or scapegoats. We're real people, living our lives, doing the best we can. Like all of you.

Because I want to be the person I know a younger me needed. To remind people courage doesn't mean not being scared. It means doing the thing anyway no matter how scary.
