As a person only recently diagnosed with ADHD late in life, I can honestly say that there were elements that helped me in life (eg. hyper focused brain that help analytically). However, now I recognize that my overactive brain just couldn’t be sustained. It wears you down.

In a twist of fate, I was seeing my physician about perceived memory loss - only to receive an official medical diagnosis of ADHD after a lengthy battery of tests at the age of 54. My world has been changed ever since.

Diagnosed at age 54. Helped explain a lot, but altered my very being when I persued medical assistance. It can really be a superpower, but eventually catches up if left undiagnosed.
