Immediately after posting this I realized that these are not the thoughts of a Normal Person™.

My entire reality has shattered. Was I a little freak (non-derogatory) this whole time? Do I have to move on from Webfishing to Atlyss? Am I... gay?

I've devoted the last decade of my life to the idea that empathy can prevail and change people's values, and deep down I still believe that.
But I've also spent the last decade witnessing empathy and compassion fail.

I'm not strong enough to be patient and kind to people who want me dead anymore.
