This year, along with candy, I’m setting out some pantry items for anyone who could use a little extra help — things like cereal, canned fruits and veggies, pasta and sauce, snacks, and fruit drinks. Times are tough for many families, and even small gestures can make a difference. 💛

My step-daughter works for a school district here in Kentucky, and she told me that if a student has COVID it’s considered an unexcused absence — and they can even come to school sick. That is crazy to me.

I called my doctor and several pharmacies yesterday and got the same response. Since I’ll be in the U.P. soon, I plan to cross into Canada for the vaccine. A 9-hour + drive isn’t ideal for anyone, and it’ll likely be my last shot unless guidelines change. F*ck RFK Jr. and Trump.

I’m going up to the U.P. in mid-September. Gonna try crossing the border to get the vaccine. They’ll probably turn me away, but I’ve gotta give it a shot (no pun intended)-and I’ll even pay out of pocket if I have to.
