I think the only hope is to break down the two-party system. George Washington feared that political parties would just take turns each election cycle getting revenge on each other.

And so it has come to be.

We have to break the loop. And that's 'we' as in the American people as a whole.

I'm about as progressive liberal as it gets. But above my views I put my belief in democracy. And democracy means everyone getting *some* of what they want and what they need. ie. compromise.

How do we get back to compromise when half the country is MAGA?
