despite a busted wrist and being in the middle of my own move (ie, no access to my tablet) i watched the clip of @froggyloch.art 's Incident during Road to Empress and was genuinely overcome with a frenzied need to draw it out.

My wife and I were hosting a friends cat after SHE moved and had too many pets, but then it turned out we needed to move less than a year later. He was snuck back home yesterday and is already acclimating to his old friends!

i have to admit, THIS one is reminiscent of the popular book covers where there was a cutout in the center, when you opened it the focus characters' face was part of an inner illustration! i wonder if the designer was trying to go for that.

just felt like breaking out the tablet and experimenting. i don't draw, but once a year or so i try my hand at it - i absorb a lot through osmosis, so it's really nice to see what i can do when i put the effort in
