I have just downloaded the new WeTransfer Terms of Service. This is what it says on content ownership. User owns content rights but grants a royalty-free license to WeTransfer!

Yes, I have just seen the email from #wetransfer. Their message doesn't highlight this, leaving the user to click through and delve into the small print to discover it.

It seems the journalist wasn't willing enough to hear the other side of the story before she published.
