I get the impression you haven’t spent much time with humanely raised pigs or cows. The animals love playing with the kids.

This is a confused comment.

Clever and perhaps a bit too spot on.

Oh, yes Pike Place wrote that, which is kind of them.

If we are trying to talk about passing & food, I might 1st point to famous poems by Gibran (attached) & Berry (linked w/B’s commentary).

Perhaps there is a way to go forward with dignity, even in face of the impossible or the horrific?

That’s a criticism I often hear from regenerative ranchers: the questioning of food systems and production is important & cannot happen if you frame the issue as @vegancj.bsky.social does here. So, there is no ethical insurance plan you can buy, no one-size-fit-all absolution from a politics of food

It’s the offseason, we have one vegan on staff. We had two in the busy season. I can ask her that Q when she’s next at work. I do know one farmer this year, had an experience similar to Kelsi Cunnif’s (see attached) and went from vegetarian to eating non-CAFO meat.

And that’s another day in the books. Happy cows, happy pigs, tired but content farmers.

Unfortunately, for a lot of these people, it’s their goal to post something so outrageous that dialogue is impossible, and the only path forward is to block. (Cf. attached as an example from the last hour, but we get hit by gore and profanity constantly across platforms)

Nursing this little guy back to health.

Actually all of our pigs are born on pasture and live their entire lives on pasture. Thanks for asking about that, @tsalagigirl.bsky.social.

If this account (@foggyhogg) contacts you, it is not us.

Should we be offended or flattered by the impersonation?
