Disappointing.

From what I understand, Ellis’s targets are satisfied with the work he’s done.

Do we let people try to get better, or does something like this define them forever, even if they're trying to do and be better?

Can I offer some gentle pushback here in the case of Warren Ellis? While he did say "that wasn't what I meant to do," he also accepted full responsibility and worked with the people he harmed to do what they wanted him to do. None of that excuses his behavior AND he is actively trying to do better.

We had to do something similar at Bed Bath & Beyond when I worked there. A lot of customers hated it and felt it was pressuring, particularly when we were slow and they felt like everyone in the store greeted them.
