The company Syngenta had to pay $187.5 MILLION for links between the pesticide paraquat and Parkinson’s disease. And Monsanto has paid billions to settle lawsuits linking its weedkiller Roundup with non-Hodkin's lymphoma.

Chemical companies are pushing for shields to protect them from being legally responsible for the harm pesticides are wreaking.

No one should be above the law. If the pesticide industry is too dangerous to operate without being legally shielded, it probably shouldn’t be operating at all.

When docked in ports, large ocean vessels keep their engines running. This means that ships are spewing harmful emissions into the atmosphere for long periods of time, which worsens local air quality and contributes to climate change.
