Metal Slug 3 is my favorite of the series. I love how the final level escalates and changes. I didn't realize it's about half the length of the entire game!

It caps off so well with you fighting the Mars People brain leader while falling out of the mothership back into the atmosphere.

played through Metal Slug 2 tonight and I forgot how bad the slowdown can get. It does actually kind of help at some points because it gives you more time to react to all the incoming enemy fire but damn

Been gettin kinda into Evil Egg lately. It's a twin stick shooter heavily inspired by Robotron 2084 but has some modern twists. Feels weird to call it a roguelike since it really just feels like an old school arcade game. And it's free on Steam!
