Why aren't the Democrats, or anyone in her district in Arizona, bringing suit based on violation of Baker v. Carr? I'm not even a lawyer and know that you can't deprive people of representation...

It's a good idea, but you'd have to figure out how to get rid of the paywalls...

There's a spoofy(?) open letter to Democrats, fraudulently attributed to Liz Cheney, that seems cut from the same cloth. Its first recommendation is similar to what you're suggesting here: Form an independent, civilian powered investigative coalition.

Cheney did not write this.

"In Maryland, kidnapping is defined in Maryland Code, Criminal Law § 3-502. A person is guilty of kidnapping if they, by force or fraud, carry or cause a person to be carried in or outside the state with the intent to have them carried or concealed in or outside the state..."

Why doesn't the MD Attorney General charge and arrest Trump Administration officials for kidnapping? This rendering of the MD penal code is done by AI, so may not be definitive:

I always felt proud that c Einstein came here. Now other countries will feel proud that American scholars have emigrated to their countries..

Because we have so much facing us in the future, I've decided not to spend time on past mistakes, of which Merrick Garland was one.

"She's my latest wife," the CE says coldly. "And the film guy needs a job because he's fighting some bogus sex abuse charges. You know, from those #metoo bitches."

"Who's that?" Bezos says, racking his brain to remember who "M" is. He knows she or he never won an Oscar; he'd remember that.
January 5, 2025 at 9:35 PM
"Yeah," Bezos says warily.

"Well, I've got a great idea for a wonderful documentary. It's gonna win you prizes."

"What is it? " Bezos says even more warily.

"I've got this friend who's a brilliant filmmaker. You could use him to direct a documentary about M."

For all Trump's whining about how *he's* been treated by law enforcement, he's never said a mumbling word about the stark, vast inequalities of our so-called justice system.
January 4, 2025 at 2:33 PM
Thank you for this. If there is any benefit to Trump winning the election, it's that my (and probably others') perception of "law enforcement" can return to what it's always been: as Baldwin noted, "the legal administration of injustice."

Though, Jamelle, I would love to hear your case for why certain unnamed individuals should not be considered evil. My list is growing longer. To make it onto my "evil" list, a person must deny the equal humanity of various groups. And from that, nothing but evil flows.

That happens with puppies too.
