I was reminded instantly of Orson Welles' Chimes at Midnight (1967), both lit extremely well and marvelous to look at such architecture filmed & framed so lovingly.
Joel Coen's Macbeth was great to look at in a bleak manner, and its foley work was also quite impressive for something Shakespearean.

Almost cleared GG Aleste 1
Died on the final boss, I guess the Defense Ring isn't the best weapon to have for the final phase it had...
Still, the game offers a LOT of extends if played well enough, I just died too much in that last bit.

Also, Mervyn is called Melvin, Aishe is Aira and Ruff is Gabo. We also have the older names for spells like Healmore and HealUsAll.

If vinegar syndrome had a VOD subscription service, I'd cancel my Arrow Player sub and switch to this immediately. I'm envious of people whom live close to a Vinegar Syndrome store. Their catalog is full of choice, even more obscure picks of films only the nastiest of video nasties could love.

obviously my go-to is Criterion, I'm a die-hard Criterion person as you've seen. But I also like Arrow Video for what gongfu films it offers, and Shudder has a variety of great horror films if being scared is more your shtick. Those three services are my top three personal picks.
