Not just novels, but novels written by someone with a half-dozen Hugos under their belt.

So much happiness here.

I'm anti-pumped. I was looking forward to Standard actually having colors mattering again for the first time since the rotation was extended, but I guess we can't let Dimir Goodstuff and Gruul Stompy suffer for too long, right?

Love the new frame, moving the names and information to the bottom. More room for uninterupted art.

Is 3MV "Exile target perm with MV>2 ACTUALLY something you're worried about? Really?

So you're saying Up the Beanstalk makes spells that are - and we need to be clear here - utterly unplayable draft chaff into actual considerations in a constructed format?

That is cool and unique and the sort of thing I want more of! Curve out goodstuff shouldn't be the only viable deck.

There's just an awfully large number of Modern players who can't separate their issues with pitch spells - which don't exist in Standard - with Up the Beanstalk. It's a fine card for the power level of Standard and really isn't being abused to the level yinz claim.

It really is a Duskmourn problem though.

Everyone forgets that prior to the Overlords, Domain was hard casting Atraxa and ramping with stuff like T-Stomper. Binding was basically the only mana cheat! The current deck is entirely a result of design mistakes in DSK, which sums up most of Standard.

Sure, and that's a big problem I have with Duskmourn in general.

But it's also leading to interesting deckbuilding discussions about stuff like the 2-brids in TDM that would be draft chaff otherwise. That's cool! It's an aspect we don't usually get in Standard. Would suck to lose it.

I still like Beans just for being a card that actually incentivizes running spells that cost more than 5 mana (which are otherwise pretty unplayable in a format as aggressive as Standard), but I understand the frustration.

If there are Amano showcase cards I might actually lose it.
