I think he’d work really well as a middle six C complement behind Tavares and would be worth paying a premium for. Can play more difficult competition and actually drive offence from the third line. Unfortunately he’s small and not physical so I can’t see Berube/Treliving buying in. Hope I’m wrong!

Just turned 26 and younger than the reigning AL rookie of the year. 2 of the past 4 years with a wRC+ above 165 and at the end of the day it’s Ed Rogers money so who really cares.

I really liked Dom’s school of thought in that piece, but I didn’t interpret todays article as Tre explicitly saying “we lost to Boston because we didn’t do dead puck well enough”, more of an acknowledgment that they were a poor defensive team in 2023-24. Maybe that’s wishful thinking though

Yeah using Dewar as a poor man’s Kampf is probably how it will go. And I agree about Minten, if he could become anything close to our version of Anton Lundell that would be massive.

It’s unfortunate Kampf has to be out for the call up. I’d like to see Minten get loaded up with Ozone starts and easy minutes, and that’s more difficult to do without a Kampf line eating tougher minutes.
