From my, literal, point of view in Windsor - this is surprisingly aesthetic. Not nearly as dire as I originally thought. However, this is purely from the outside looking in. I'm sure there are other issues involved.

We Windsorites are quite proud to be South (of) Detroit. Come to a Spitfires game and you will see! You can take the tunnel or the bridge. If you wait a bit, we have another bridge on the way.

I'm also concerned with the shifting. It is hard to see progress when it is slow. We are both skeptical of the way funds are being allotted, the outcomes and the path ahead. Our lenses are a bit different. Most importantly, though, we both share a passion for this city and the issues at hand.

Not disagreeing per se. I'm looking for a real measure, if I'm going to forgo benefits and improvements. Saying "reduced homelessness" has no clear end & shouldn't. I live downtown & I see improvements. It is a slow process. Every kind of budget needs to address a variety of needs & wants.

Agreed - homelessness demands attention. And, I do question the allotment of funds across each budget line. Still, what is the measure of success to the homeless issue? When does that allow for creating a city people enjoy and invest in?

I'm wondering if it is the cost of entry that deters people. But .... I wouldn't know what to do about that either.
