I guess the "crown" is its head, but I can't unsee the thing below it as the head, complete with green eyes and mouth. It looks a lot like this Digimon.

Chatot gets some flack, too, and yeah the head being a literal note and the tail a..metronome, I guess?...is odd, but it's still a better "parrot pokemon" design.

Uh...I don't know about the "well-known" part, but there absolutely is a series that fits this description. I'm trying to find the name of it but having no luck.
Maybe it wasn't a miniseries but a regular TV series, but I don't recall it having very many episodes.

Well, I get too confused trying to make sense of all that type of stuff, so I guess I'll just go back to posting pictures of sleeping kittens because it's much nicer.

I keep finding toys from Spunky's room around the house and sometimes the other cats are even playing with them. I knew they were stealing them under the door, but I never caught it on camera before now. Notice the toy moving at the door as another cat is pulling it from the other side.

Welp...I have no idea where Tiggy is. He must've found a really good hiding spot this time, because I've looked everywhere and I just can't find him. And we all know that if they can't see you, that means you can't see them.

I easily burned through about 50 lives getting through the Chimp Caverns and the final boss. I almost thought I was going to have to farm again.
BTW, does Cranky only say this if you got 101%? I don't recall seeing this line of dialogue before...

It's been awhile, but I finally decided to finish off that game of Donkey Kong Country I had going. Save file is now at 101%, though I did have to look up where some of the hidden bonus rooms are. I can tell this game was made at the height of Strategy Guide popularity.

I caught this little interaction between Spunky and Socks. I'm certain Spunky remembers Socks from their days together as strays and is very happy to have his company. She even shows him her butt twice before strutting off.
