I do think that Zegras has shown that elite level talent this year too. If they do regress instead of finding another gear, all these fun comeback wins are going to be really frustrating come draft day. I guess we might as well enjoy the wins for now and hope they improve.

Definitely matches the eye test out there. While these wins and comeback efforts are both fun and impressive, it doesn’t feel sustainable at all.

He’s been flying out there. I think Drysdale’s had a fairly strong game too. Had to cover for a few Andrae mistakes early and then drove some offense this period.

I’m still convinced if that OT winner wasn’t called back on the Tippett offside it would’ve sparked a scoring streak.

Ah I thought he had 1 more year. I guess a dirt cheap 1 year extension would make sense like you said to line up the contracts. Still would wait until the deadline this year.

That’s a very optimistic take on Ersson. I don’t know if I’d want to extend him personally. He’s had a pretty large sample size at this point and now that I’ve seen Vladar succeed with this group, it’s hard to find excuses for Sam. I would at least wait until next trade deadline to consider it.

What parts of his game look off? He has his transition mistakes that come with him trying to push play in that area. Other than that I’ve noticed him have a lot of games where he is a noticeable positive and if anything he’s seemed snake bitten as a goal scorer.

Unless I’m reading the play-by-play wrong, Andrae has not been given credit for a hit on this play lol
