Ordered! This is the first time I've ever had tingles going up and down my spine for this story. And I've seen The Nutcracker in so many ways and formats...

Your writings are so inspiring including this one. We wish you all the strength you desire and wish we could help you more. (Entering our 7th year post diagnosis as the lucky “not knowing” ones.)

Tho your picture does not do justice for just how intimidatingly thick this book is.

Zel'dovich and Raizer for the win! I'm very proud that this book has sat unread in my bookshelf for more than 20 years. (My PhD included simulating shocks in the solar atmosphere so I did read other books.)

I hope this is real. I can't wait to hear these two leading democrats bonding and comparing notes about spectacularly and publicly committing political suicide.

(I can't believe I'm the first to make this joke after almost 160 comments. C'mon, folks!)

Wow that’s the first time I’ve heard an accurate description of what it’s like inside my head. I’ve always kind of liked it. I have experienced it going silent with chemical help, and that was like “whoa!”, but I don’t long for that silence.

I’m a deeply patriotic American and I am deeply embarrassed too. More deeply embarrassed than I thought possible. And many of my very patriotic friends, including military veterans and dedicated government workers, feel the same way. Americans who aren’t embarrassed don’t care about humanity.
