Humanist, gamer and fly-fisher from the great, cold north
After almost 100 hours, I finally got the credits rolling in The Outer Worlds 2, another great RPG from one of my favorite RPG developers, Obsidian. These long, immersive video games help me deal with the growing ugliness of the world we actually live in.

I live with a 🐈 who loves to play fetch with Q-tips. She must have been a 🐕 in a previous life.

I cannot stop thinking about Silent Hill f since I completed it a few days ago: its eerie beauty, its impactful combat, and especially its depiction of familial drama set in Japan of the 1960s. The game punches you in the gut with its horror and with the tragic story of an adolescent girl.

This year, I completed the RoboCop stand-alone expansion, with more of the same excellent gameplay and many more enemies to 🔫.

About a year ago, I completed my visit of Rogue City, roaming the violent and drug-infested streets as RoboCop. The game does an excellent job at depicting the urban dilapidation of the 1980's.

Really glad to have had the opportunity to play this awesome game after having greatly enjoyed Skyrim. But, however remastered it may be, Oblivion still shows its venerable age, especially with all the doors that lead to loading screens 🤔

What a charming video game South of Midnight turned out to be, with its cast of endearing characters, its emotionally gripping story and its spurts of intense combat!

Set in the deep mythical South, this game is a love letter to the poorest people of America, who are really struggling now!

Obsidian Entertainment does it again and creates a compelling RPG (Avowed) with satisfying exploration and intense combat.

Now, if only I can find another wonderfully woke game where diversity and empathy are not seen as weaknesses but as what makes us human, without which we are merely robots.

Reading this book makes you realize to what point we still have not resolve the geopolitical issues the emerged after the WW II: Russia's aggressive expansion, turmoil in the Middle East with the birth of Israel and the emerging threat of communist China.

Read this other peculiar book in 2024, tracing the history of one of the most mysterious virus of all, rabies, and its influence on human culture from Hector's battle-fury in Homer's Iliad to modern-day zombies!

I am almost embarrassed to admit that I have been neglecting my video games because of a history book. The biography of this man covers the main events of 20th century American history and the hypocrisy concerning race and sexual orientation at the very heart of American democracy.

Set in the 1930s, what a blast from the past Indiana Jones and the Great Circle turns out to be. I really enjoyed punching the shit out of Nazis and Italian fascists.

Someone should develop a game where we can punch the crap out of modern fascists, such as, Putin, Xi and the orange monstrosity!

Managed to complete the latest Dragon Age game. It may not be a masterpiece but it certainly does not deserve the virulent criticism it receives online.

I enjoyed playing this gorgeous, well-optimized video game and believe the hate arises because it is too woke for today's political climate.

Sad!

Recently completed the latest Star Wars game by Respawn. A great game that improves on many aspects of the previous game with more varied combat and deeper exploration.
