I feel like this is one of those things that doesn’t have to be either or. My city has great protected bike routes/paths and is still decent to drive in (or more importantly out of).
Now if they could do something about the bike theft I’d probably rarely use the car unless leaving the city.

Normally I have a rule that if I feel the need to carry somewhere I just don’t go. This feels like breaking that.

I’m a bit torn there. It does seem like a reasonable result at this point, but such ideas have long been the realm of the far right.
