I think it is stupid to claim that you have to play something to be able to make an opinion on it.
But I am not taking your opinion away. I am just trying to explain that it indeed DID underperform.

Given I have not played any DA besides origin I am not presenting my opinion on a game as a fact.

I am happy if you enjoy games you like. No shame to enjoy a game that is not widely thought to be good or commerically succesful.

It cost ~250mil to make. If you sell EVERY COPY at full price you would have to have sales north of 4million to ONLY cover the costs. They haven't even sold 1.5. That is underperforming by every measure.

Even you say it wasn't great. The budget for it was 250 mil +. It needs not only be great but to sell like hotcakes with that budget.
I haven't played it but a lot of big streamers put quite well reasoned arguments why it wasn't great.
