This might mark me as an ersatz dinosaur, but ESR's revisionist spin on the Jargon File really was a pivotal moment in tech.
Rebranding it as The Hacker's Dictionary and injecting libertarian ideology shifted it from a communal snapshot of hacker culture to a narrative shaped by personal politics.

@techconnectify.bsky.social I use my toaster oven on top of the stove because my kitchen has no counters. My roommate thinks all gas stoves have a trickle of leakage great enough to explode from a toaster oven. That amount of leakage doesn't sound accurate to me. Is it?

Is there a desktop browser client for Bluesky? There doesn’t appear to be an app for my Android phone. But I found the iOS app & dug out an ancient iPad I have.
