But to finish it, I honestly agree with the glaze 😭, like the frontiers bosses are great and all but it's much more spectacle compared to this
There are stronger mechs yes, there's the titans too, but this is Eggman at his peak

It's unique, no other boss in the series has this amount of stuff tied into it that I know, now gameplay is completely subjective here after all it's a button mushing fest with a QTE on top of it, me personally I think it's awesome but could have been so much more

He tricked and defeated sonic in the opening, shattered the entire planet and managed to build eggmanland, the place he was dreaming about since sonic adventure 1 by the way, to on top of that have built the best counter to sonic since metal in cd, unluckily for him he had to fight the werehog.

The reason why it says Eggman fought sonic passionately there is because he is not holding anything back, he's in to kill, even sonic calls him out during the fight yelling at him to simmer down, and complains like crazy once he is defeated, because he had it all set up to that point

We see the prototype of it in the opening, but yk how that one ended so Eggman upgraded it using the elements of the past Gaia bosses the werehog fought, it was designed almost specifically to counter sonic as it's able to catch him and destroy the terrain he's in if needed

On everyone's soul but mine I see people glazing this boss fight to no end, and tbh I agree with the glazers, I can't tell you if it's the best in the series but the buildup is nice.. if you can call it buildup that is
