A good post from the tumble, esp in regards to anything with art. Studying new concepts and techniques is the most fun when you can do it like a dog chewing and shaking a new toy around until you can rip out the squeaker and run through the house triumphantly going SQUIKSQUIKSQUIKSQUIK
Tumblr post from macyvermedical: Took me until about halfway through college before I realized "study" means "fplay with the material in a variety of ways until you understand it" and not just "read the assigned chapters and do the homework" and I think that probably should have been discussed at some point prior to that.

Ohio legislators are advancing HB 249, a bill that criminalizes drag performances unless they're in a strip club or adult theater.

Proponents say drag is obscene and should only be allowed "behind closed doors."

But it goes far beyond drag and closed doors.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Ohio legislators have introduced another "adult cabaret performances" ban that LGBTQ+ advocates say will outlaw drag queen shows in public. House Bill 249 was introduced at the Statehouse on Tuesday to ban "adult cabaret performances"" defined as a show "harmful to juveniles" that features "entertainers who exhibit a gender identity that is different from the performers' or entertainers' biological sex." The bill would prohibit these shows in all locations other than "adult cabarets," meaning "a nightclub, bar, juice bar, restaurant, bottle club or similar establishment." Dwayne Steward, Equality Ohio executive director, condemned the legislation as "censorship" that would restrict any gender nonconforming performance in public. Steward argued the bill is "a blatant attempt by politicians to suppress cultural expression under the guise of protecting children."

Zix has been reunited with his wife Teeri. Keldaros is of course present, because wherever Zix is, Keldaros is as well. I'd like to share a digital art tip that I sure wish I had figured out sooner lolll. I now do my sketch layer with a chunky textured pen that I simply cannot create tiny details like facial features with! 🚫 This forces me to put details in at the ink stage and it's had two benefits 1/2
