Reworking a model I didn't like because it felt out of scale, I also added dormers, further growing the relative size of the house at 28mm by indicating a second floor. Finally a coat of black craft paint mixed with glue, and I'm actually happy with the model and excited to paint it! #D&D #crafting

A year ago, I created this model house. I was not happy with it. But I primed it and then it sat. And sat. And sat. For over a year. Finally I decided I needed to do something about it. To start, I "edited" the shingles to bring it into something more compatible with 28mm scale. #D&D #crafting

If you're not happy with how a paint job comes out, you can redo it! #minis #frostgrave
On the right, trying to get the mottled aspect of a snow leopards spits right for hours, ending up with a grayish mess. On the left, painting everything white and starting over.

Painting some animals for a #Frostgrave campaign. Ice spiders, ice toads, bears and snow leopards. Not sure why thr book shows grizzlies in the art. Mayne they're meaner than polar beats? I'm not 100% on the snow leopards, but I'm also not sure how to get the needed level of detailing. #minis

The true #kitbash is my aasimar bard Delphinas. I've been using the unpainted mini for the whole campaign, but now that he's 3rd level and "earned his wings" it was time. #D&D #minis

An afternoon of painting. I really like how these came out. Primed, then based, then colored. Amazing what a little contrast color can do! Also, my first kit bash! (The goblin's sword broke I shipping and has been cunningly replaced with a piece of sprue) #D&D #minis

An overgrown and ruined city in the wilderness, but whats this? Manned watchtower? Whats going on? What's being watched? And by whom?

An experiment: yellow contrast rather than green contrast. I like how it looks. Plus some tufts of grass and these pieces feel alive in a way they didn't an hour ago.

A plastic plant, a few tufts of model grass, and a bright green contrast wash turn a dull and lifeless grey tower model into a vibrantly decaying tower model

Gilding the lily. I wanted to make the brickwork pop a little more, so I added some white highlight. That was too much, so I added a black contrast. Then I realized I should have used the yellow contrast to match the browns. It's a but muddy. Then I added these plant accents and ::chefs kiss::

Painted with black and blue mix, highlighted with a light blue mixed with black. I accidentally broke a column off one of the pieces, but since I need to glue the second floors on anyway, I'll reattach it then.
