Last week I spoke about a very not-edible plant, so this week I will talk about an edible plant! 🧪
This guy grows EVERYWHERE in the state of Florida, except for the keys. It's all over the eastern U.S. but FL being one of the swampiest areas gets a whole lot!

Bald Cypress - Taxodium distichum
The Bald Cypress is a member of the coniferous Cupressaceae family. Unlike many other coniferous trees, the BC is deciduous! It sheds early in the season, which is why it got the "bald" part of its name.

Bald Cypress - Taxodium distichum
