This is a photograph I took of a beach nearish me where they are successfully using old (real) Christmas trees to build up the grassy sanddunes. This is the beautiful Scottish sea in September, with a beautiful beach now holding onto its sand and wildlife.

I was in the serene Great Hall this time last week, having a very peaceful lovely visit.

For those that need to see some current positive in the world: I took these photos yesterday whilst visiting Ayr, where the council has been using ex-Christmas trees to build up the sea grass at the top of the beach for several years. It's been v.successful, less sand loss, more diversity of nature.

If you're in Edinburgh, hop on the tram down to The Shore stop & mosey 2 minutes along Bernard Street to Cafe Marmalade (wed-sun, bfast & lunch) because it is LOVELY. Has been lovely for years & also does great gf (full breakfast! Scones! Sandwiches! Millionaire's shortbread) or vegan #gf #edinburgh
