The airplane toxic air thing (article in comments): I trust airlines to not have big crashes most of the time. I don't trust them not to protect profit by hiding / minimizing issues like this. Nor do I trust our government to ignore lobbyists long enough to effectively regulate for passenger safety.

These same type of dirty corporate tricks happen constantly in every American industry because the people who make money from corporate interests have set up elaborate (and not so elaborate) ways to buy laws and politicians who favor their interests. Link in comments.

This article makes me think about how much things had changed sub-culturally when I moved back to the US in 2009. I was so confused for so long. One wonders how future generations will view all this stuff. Forty years from now, will someone be researching the history of current health food trends?

I figured it out: Trump's goal is to raise the price on American consumption so that our corporate overlords can get a better return on their investment. Endless American consumer consumption IS THE PRODUCT. Better jobs and national self-reliance are just the facade to hide the real product.
