I think aggressive is the right word. Recommender are the most useless thing people did for e-commerce or media platforms. The only thing that I can’t get recommended enough is Nutella; everything else is just a waste of compute-> noise. It could make sense when coupled with a knowledge graph…

Why should someone convince you of something that is observed and is somehow applicable. You could also show that there are cases in which it does not apply.
