That's exactly how it felt. We discovered Brighouse Bay in 1976. We paid Farmer Sproat £1.00 per night to camp on the Headland ( now covered in scrub and off limits).

We may have passed each other on the jubilee path or stood side by side watching the queening vessels unloading in Kirkudbright, all those years ago. Wonderful area!
