Today marks the start of a new chapter with negotiations for the next long-term #EUBudget.

Today I presented the Commission’s proposal for the Union’s next long-term budget to the BUDG Committee of the European Parliament.

Kicked off my Tour d’Europe in Italy 🇮🇹 with a very good meeting with Minister Foti.

The next #EUbudget will need to be both ambitious and realistic, and focus on common European priorities - including innovation, preparedness, defence and cohesion.

We will work on that.
