In the gallery students, faculty and alumni have organised an exhibition of small works. Upstairs, the Écorché class is busy sculpting a human figure in clay under the watchful eye of Matilda Bjurström. Downstairs Tom Skoog leads the weekend workshop as students draw and paint from a portrait model.

I’ve taken two long painting trips to Japan recently, and turned the work I did there into books documenting the whole project. It’s been a fantastic change of pace, and I think when I pivot back into the oil paintings, I’m going to find I’ve learned something new to bring to them.
