That was a beta-only warp effect as far as I remember. They warned that people would lose access to it once that beta period was over, though there was also a poll asking folks if they wanted it back. If you like it, make your voice heard :]

Warp Effects are custom animations that play when you enter or leave an instance. It feels hard to describe to someone who didn’t experience the game when it was in its prime - that era of the internet, the kind of humor in Undertale and how it rocked your shit emotionally in some parts was really groundbreaking for me personally, as I’m sure it was for many others.

It’s interesting hearing this perspective, in Polish for instance it’s quite normal to see this kind of language because the verb has the subject baked into it. Like “Pobieram” means “[I am] downloading”, which makes it seem like your device is more alive. Some devs choose more neutral language tho.
