back in comic school there was an assignment to summarize a piece of media into a 16-panel #comic without any dialogue. i never managed to create one back then… but many years later i tried again, this time with one of my new favorite movies: #Wolfwalkers 🐺
a black and white comic. panel 1: in a medieval setting, an angry man (lord protector) on a horse is telling a hunter (bill) to hunt wolves, while the hunter's daughter (robyn) and her hawk is listening. panel 2: robyn follows her father into the woods. panel 3: a wolf appears and robyn tries to shoot it with her crossbow, but accidentally shoots her bird. panel 4: a mysterious girl appears and takes the bird into the bushes panel 5: robyn is caught in a trap and a wolf is trying to get her down, but bites her hand. the hawk has healed. panel 6: the wolf leads robyn to a den full of wolves, where a woman with the mysterious girl in her lap is sleeping. panel 7: the wolf becomes a spirit form and jumps into the girl (mebh) who then wakes up. panel 8: that night when robyn is sleeping, her spirit in the form of a wolf jumps out of her panel 9: wolf-robyn meets up with wolf-mebh and they run together with the wolf pack. panel 10: lord protector (with bill next to him) is holding a giant wolf captive (mebh's mother moll) on a stage in front of a crowd. mebh and robyn (in human forms) are shocked. panel 11: robyn and mebh breaks moll free, and moll bites bill. panel 12: moll has been shot with an arrow and her spirit is leaving her. an angry mob is following them. panel 13: lord protector is heading towards the wolves' den but robyn is standing in the way. bill is distressed. panel 14: because bill got bitten by moll earlier he is now also a wolfwalker, he turns into a wolf and attacks lord protector. panel 15: robyn, mebh and the wolf pack heal moll with wolfwalker magic, waking her up. panel 16: the wolfwalker family is traveling happily, bill and moll is riding a horse carriage while robyn and mebh in wolf form are running with the pack

fanart from 2008 of Amaterasu (the white wolf protagonist) and the eight dog warriors from the game Okami. this was my most popular upload of all time if i remember correctly… oekaki fanart from 2009(?) of Keaton (a three-tailed yellow fox) from The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask oekaki fanart from 2010 of Gin (the dog protagonist) from Silver Fang/Ginga Nagareboshi Gin, with the silhouette of Akakabuto (the giant bear antagonist) against the full moon in the background reference sheet from 2011 of my fursona at the time: Vargen, a dark grey and white wolf-like creature with red bat wings. i know i had earlier ref sheets where she was more of a sparkledog (complete with goggles and edgy make-up) but i must’ve deleted them…
