I live in an apartment complex in Oslo (el-car central!) and in our garage anyone who wants to pay for a charger can have it at their space. On any given night *maybe* one car in five is plugged in, usually far fewer. So the power is shared, every car gets charged, all the drivers are happy.

I'm not saying that what the Grinch did was excusable. I'm just saying that if I lived next to people who thought that level of noise was acceptable, I'd probably be pretty grumpy too.

Although I've just noticed that for the year I was 10 it was The Empire Strikes Back and for my 10th birthday it was a re-release of Star Wars so either way the new year is going to be very weird indeed.

I live in Oslo. Norway has long had a deposit scheme for beverage cans and bottles. If people want to throw away a bottle out in public, they will often put it on top of or beside the bin to make it easier for someone who wants the deposit to find it. Some bins even have bottle racks on the side!

Certainly the grassy environment he's used to is a golf course. He doesn't really voluntarily go outside for anything else but golf.

I can't imagine what the people of Naples must have been thinking when the 1944 eruption started. That was already a terrible year for Italy, most people were struggling just to get food and other basics. And then the volcano starts up again.

Yep, I grew up in the US in the '70s and only got one dose. I now live in Norway - no measles here yet. But some of my work is with newly arrived teens, some of whom grew up in refugee camps and aren't up to date on their shots. Talked with a doctor and got an MMR vaccine to protect myself and them.

Here in Oslo, there are plenty of on-street chargers in neighborhoods with older apartment buildings without their own parking. Many offices and other workplaces also have chargers in their parking areas. It isn't as simple as for houses with garages, but it CAN be done if people demand it.

Even in older buildings where residents with cars have to park in a lot, you'll usually see spaces with chargers installed.
