Doesn’t line up with my life experience at all. Everyone is on their own. Only if you can keep yourself afloat will you avoid drowning. Let’s agree to disagree I guess my PoV is too far if the norm here. No desire to drag others down.

Being kind doesn’t help. It is about others feeling good about themselves rather than making any real change.

Empathy doesn’t pay bills or fix anything. It’s just a way to pretend you’re involved while feeling good about it.

Kind means lowering your guard. And people will just step over you if you do. I prefer to be the grumpy asshole over getting abused by my surroundings. I’m tired of draining myself by „giving back“. And honestly even more tired of people propagating positivity when it doesn’t work.
