I’d have expected nothing less .
Those were the days when you stuck the control selection code in the back buffer then overwrote it and you couldn’t go back after you played a game… user commitment

It always amazed me how much you can ring out of a spectrum perf wise with some z80 register magic, but the mad memory saving tricks are actually equally if not more impressive . Especially when so much stuff needed preshifted sprites for performance

Compression … tons of these spectrum games have some quite interesting ways of saving memory… take a look at IK+ ;) and how the characters are made up.

Brilliant use of Silicon Graphics.

It’s a rabbit hole to go down that’s for sure .
There’s some true genius stuff in these games when you pull them apart . This just makes it more obvious
