Besides her great relationship with Clark, it was cool seeing her play such an active role in the story (helping with rescuing Clark, getting the Daily Planet team involved, etc).

I know some people were annoyed at the theme being used but from what I’ve heard in the trailers, it sounds like they put their own spin on it (I honestly felt a little silly for not immediately recognizing it the first time).
