He/him. Lover of movies, tv, and books. Can’t make promises about posting too often but I’ll do my best.
Not exactly the same but I vaguely remember Manny saying his Acolyte character would just be an ordinary guy and not a force-user.

I thought I was going crazy over all the praise I saw for it.

And you’re right, El’s ending was absolutely the American Monomyth in action.

I’m definitely excited to see how she changes after the time jump since it’s a little harder to picture what she’ll be like.

With Lo’ak and Kiri, you can sort of imagine where they’ll end up but Tuk’s story definitely isn’t as obvious.

That’s good because there’s literally a lot of him in this movie.

How much do you like Robert Pattinson?

I actually read the original book earlier this year. I feel like I should’ve expected it but it still felt disappointing for it not happen at the end.

To be clear, I thought it was good overall, I was just sad for Erik.

Adding on to the original message, I always felt that a movie where Ben returns really should be should be as much of a sequel trilogy continuation as possible.

I understand that not everyone can come back but if they really want it to feel like an event, they should go beyond a smaller movie.

Lois was also amazing as well!

Besides her great relationship with Clark, it was cool seeing her play such an active role in the story (helping with rescuing Clark, getting the Daily Planet team involved, etc).

I just think it’s funny that they didn’t even try to distinguish it visually from the show.

I figured it would’ve looked a little bigger than what we got.

Won’t be seeing it until the weekend but that’s awesome to hear.

I know some people were annoyed at the theme being used but from what I’ve heard in the trailers, it sounds like they put their own spin on it (I honestly felt a little silly for not immediately recognizing it the first time).

To add to your point, I got spoiled with Captain America: Civil War (with Bucky and Tony’s parents).

Despite that, I still ended up being shocked at seeing it play out in the movie.

Not much more to add other than having the whole picture matters.
