Komachi does something similar to Susie Deltarune. She usually uses the feminine アタイ "Atai", but she switches to the more neutral 私 "Watashi" when speaking with her boss, Eiki. She's not identifying less feminine, she just doesn't want to offend her boss by being too casual.
