Here’s a new tune I arranged, recorded, and produced for the @gamegrooves.com Sonic ska cover album! Big ups to Edgar from Bite Me Bambi for the Bari! All other horns by me!
Check it out at gamegrooves.bandcamp.com/track/chemic...

Amazing game. Great audio. Cars shooting missiles and lasers at each other is cool as heck. Also I was going through a phase where I recorded audio from anything I could get my hands on so somewhere in my parents’ house is a tape with ‘Paint it Black’ on it.

The first Zelda game I actually owned and beat, this story showed smol Chris that games can make you have the feels. And also probably instilled some kind of existential crisis in me at a young age. But hey, there’s a reason I keep replaying it.

I had to. This game made me fall in love with 3D platforming and collect-a-thons. Add Rare’s penchant for creating beautiful worlds on the N64 and a playful OST that adapts on the fly depending on where you are (big 🙌 to @grantkirkhope.bsky.social) for my favorite N64 title.

Holy moly this is game is unassuming and super fun. Space craft and crew management as you zip around galaxies and do *stuff*. Will you help those in need? Destroy every space craft you come across? Either way, enjoy the great OST from @benprunty.bsky.social

I don’t know. I can’t seem to stop playing it. I tend to ping around to different MMOs and online games to play with friends, but WoW is for some reason one I always fall back to. Maybe it’s just that I like to be a fire-flinging elf with impeccable fashion sense.

Somewhere between a shmup and an RPG is Tiny Rogues! A fun and surprisingly deep roguelike that keeps unfolding the further you go. Smash rooms full of enemies, epic boss fights, and meaningful items all wrapped up in nostalgic visuals and a kickass chiptune OST!

Another nostalgia bomb for me. This was the first time I felt like a world surprised me in a game. Granted, I was ~4 when this game released, I recall being in awe of how vibrant and fun the world was to explore, and how meaningful every item felt.

One of the first games I truly fell in love with as a kid! I recall countless nights playing this to the passing of streetlights in the back of my parents’ car, and using the GameBoy (the OG grey brick) like a music player, selecting a level just to listen to the music.
