Looking at the 16 films I've watched at the cinema, about 44% (7) of them were original screenplays, with the rest being either sequels, adaptations or original work as part of an established IP.

Just over half of them were US (co-)productions (165), followed by the UK (61) and Japan (23). The "others" category includes countries like Italy, Bhutan, Poland, Taiwan, and Sweden.
