He was. He was gracious and charming with every guest with whom he spoke. I got to spend some alone time with him before the event and it was non-stop stories about Hollywood past with lots of impersonations. He was having back trouble, but he stuck it out the entire night with nary a complaint.

One of my faves. I watched it with my daughter when she was about 10. To my surprise she quietly watched it all the way through. When it was over, she paused and said “that movie made no sense.” “Exactly.”
