I tried Microsoft Support but that was a bit comical. Turned out I knew more about 365 Copilot on the Mac than they did. Maybe the support assistant was really Copilot? Bottom line, on the Mac you can't really disable Copilot in the installed Office apps. You can stop it from working.

I'm not renewing my Microsoft 365 account in July.

Every Word document now has the Copilot icon and the text "Select the icon or press [keystrokes] to draft with Copilot". Having turned off connected experiences, it doesn't work, but the text still appears in my Word document as I write.

I've still got my original vinyl copy despite it being stolen in a burglary. I found my LPs in a secondhand record shop and called the police. They were impounded as evidence for several months!

Is there actual evidence of abuse of these chipsets? Or is this national hysteria about overseas companies?

An excellent review of the potential impact of this. I had a free Strava account. Never really used Strava and never used it to funnel data to other apps (e.g. intervals.icu). But this was just the nudge I needed to cancel my account.
