Make sure your pricing strategy aligns with your audience, and don’t let excitement cloud your decisions.

Don’t rush your launch, no matter how excited you are.
Plan your monetization and strategy thoroughly.
Otherwise, you’ll miss opportunities—like I did with Product Hunt traffic.

4) Charge hosts to feature their links with a "verified" badge - that way people can use the extension entirely for free, but its now a B2B product.

But that’s something I should have figured out from day 1.

3) I made it free recently, and now 80% of visitors download the extension, now having 150+ active users

The long-term monetization plan?

2) Initially, I priced the extension at $19/year.

No one bought.

I pivoted to a $19 one-time payment.

Still, no one bought.

1) The product itself is awesome.
(at least thats what I´ve been told)

People love it, leaving 5-star feedback all the way.
But great feedback doesn’t pay the bills, right?

The real issue? I didn’t plan monetization properly.
