If you feel it’s condescending, then you are also part of the problem. It sounds harsh, but it’s true. How many times do we say the younger ones don’t do anything but we don’t step aside and allow them to do it? It’s high time we passed the torch to the next generations.

Or is it true? If you feel the comment was rude then maybe you need to take a hard look at how you view Millennials, Z, & Alpha. Just because you think TT is not a valid source of information because you can’t sniff out the false info doesn’t make it a bad source. I’ll double down & say do better.

As does the constant attack on younger voters, who the older voters think do not know the “real world.” When in fact, they know the real world better than most do. Older people tend to be out of touch with how younger people live & tend to jump to conclusions that they don’t know what’s going on.

Part of the problem is that older Dems are not true passionate agents of change. They want change but not like the younger generations do. That’s part of the pearl clutching problem in the DNC. I see this far too often.The the older ones blame the younger ones when they don’t toe the old party line.

Older people have more time available to volunteer. Younger people are busy working multiple jobs to survive in our over inflated economy. The ageism goes both ways. Too many boomers not letting go & allowing true change to happen. The DNC has just as many pearl clutches as the RNC & it shows.

So 60% is a good record? Not as far as I am concerned. Younger voters do not and will not listen to these old white men & women. I’m 55 and I don’t listen to them either & I’m “part of that demographic.” If the DNC wants change the old ones need to move on & let the young ones take the helm now.

When the DNC chairs have all been old white men and women it is difficult to get the younger adults to turn out. Hogg now has the proverbial ball in his court to show he can make change. Support him and you’ll support getting the younger voters to the polls.
