A lovely healing day in Wellington yesterday. Got to see an Eagle Ray, and pod of dolphins in the harbour as well as buskers and many people on the waterfront. Helped overcome #fomo from writers week and the arts festival 🤩

So now it’s back to smoothies, soups and a new line of #chemotherapy treatment starting next week. Here's hoping it works. 🙏💪Thanks to amazing family and friends for incredible support and love through this time. #stage4cancer

Health update: I had a lovely break from #cancertreatment over Christmas/summer swimming and eating well, spending time with family and friends, v lucky 🥰but unfortunately the latest scan shows the cancer is back and growing. #oesophagealcancer

Been attending the #scanz23 conference online today, would have liked to be there, but better. not to go as I’m nauseous today poss from chemo treatment. But interesting sessions esp the exciting but terrifying panel about AI - ‘a scientific revolution we’re in the midst of’ #scicomm

Feeling overwhelmed by everything that’s going on, so went for a long walk around Te Whanganui-a-Tara on a still, sparkling day yesterday. Saw some favourite sights and scents ❤️🌺

Health #Cancer update from me: Had #chemotherapy cycle number 7 today ✅ 💪🤞Now home with a new shape chemo bottle, 😬 waiting for the weird fizzing fingers, like mini electric shocks, tingling face and tongue with cold air or drink, peripheral neuropathy full-on fatigue 😴 and a rather bored nurse aide

Technology really is amazing 🤩 a bit of love and light in these crazy times, just watched my nephew’s sunrise wedding live-streamed from Yamba in Australia. Some family made it there and the rest of us could watch from round the world ❤️🌸🥂🥰💕🌺🌅
